Y8's... for pic #13 of the Chula Vista CofC parade float... I was born and raised in Chula Vista... actually had a girlfriend who was one of the runner-up chicks on that same float circa 1993 (never got any iirc).
Anyways... that pic was definitely taken in the Coronado 4th of July Parade on Orange Ave. I found some history for the N.Gardner Real Estate Company and that sweet ride on the right looks like a 1950 Dodge. No telling what year it's taken, but prob late 50's?
I just got off the phone with the Coronado Historical Society and they'd never seen this photo... not that they can add it to the archive, but probably some old dude there dated one of those girls and might be able to tell me more about it. We did talk about dating the photo via the make/model of the parking meter and they were gonna hook up with the Chula Vista Historical Society to figure out who the people are. Anyways... thanks for the memories.
