Agreed.
I listened to the launch of STS-135 last July while driving back from Lawrence and it actually made me cry. Would have given almost anything to see that launch in person. As unbelievable as it is on HDTV, to be there in person.... and I'll never get to see it. Sure, there will be other space launches but it just won't be the same.
Sure some older folks feel the same way about Gemini..

Living on the Space Coast, I know the feeling all too well. I've seen numerous launches and landings of the shuttles and unmanned rockets. I'll miss these the most.
