Saw an hour long dateline type show on NatGeo (I think) about this crash. IIRC the driver of the camaro (or was it a fireturd?) had a seizure and blacked out with his right foot pinned to the floor. Car hit a drainage culvert which happened to be at *just* the right incline, car slammed into the bridge pillar 17 feet in the air and was sliced in half throwing the driver something like 100 feet.
If you stop the video at 0:22 and observe the vehicle which stopped on the right shoulder, the dark colored object which came to rest at that point was the driver of the f-body in a seated upright/hunched over position. Bastard actually survived this!
im trying to sell my miata here locally after I stop being lazy and re-install my head, and bandaid turbo it, since I dont want to buy another MS and wideband after my last partout... after that I am hoping to get a 1JZ twin turbo engine for my MK3, and take my current 7MGTE and find a miata shell to install it in. That is my plan for this year.
Shot these today. The fire is about 5-6 miles from my house. Gone from ignition to ~4K acres since Saturday morning. There's an arsonist who set 20(!) fires between Monday and Friday of last week in the area...would not be surprised if this one ends up tied to that person. No structures burned or people injured thus far, but it's not expected to be contained until July 16th. And it's right across the road from the entrance to Pikes Peak, where the race is supposed to run a week prior to that. That whole area is under a mandatory evacuation right now.
