My wife, a former collegiate rower sent that to me.

Inexperienced high school teams combined with a narrow course, I guess. But yeah, lingering in the middle of course reminds of the Nurburgring video I saw here where some guy in a Subaru stopped in the track around a fast, blind corner. Charlie foxtrot.
