The T-37, of course, is the correct one.
It's what all the USAF guys thought until they got to fly this. Pure sex compared to an underpowered Cessna;

My lord, that is one ugly machine. The paint just makes it worse.

I've always been partial to the ME-262:

Years ago, we saw Jimmy Buffet in concert, and he flew his Albatross, the 'Hemisphere Dancer' around the venue a couple of hours before the show.

Of course, the correct answer to the 'most' beautiful airplane may have been the first one. It's hard to beat a Staggerwing...

WTF: If you combine the different spellings "Muhammad", "Mohammed" and "Mohammad" in that spreadsheet, it's clearly the most popular boys name in England and Wales!
- one of the reasons the Brexit vote won?

Lots of Wolverine fans over there, "Logan" was #26.

Oh, certainly. The T37 is simple, tiny and underpowered.

Reminds me of a certain car...

Looked like an F-5 to me - Googling the number on the tail indicates it's an evolution of the F-5 however:

"Only three F-5G/F-20As were built. N4416T (82-0062) crashed during a demonstration flight at Suwon Air Base, Republic of South Korea, 10 October 1984. The aircraft was destroyed and Northrop pilot Darrell E. Cornell was killed. The second F-20, N3986B, crashed at Goose Bay, Newfoundland, Canada, 14 May 1985, under similar circumstances, killing David Barnes. Investigations found that both pilots had lost consciousness due to high-G maneuvers. The third Northrop F-20A, N44671 (82-0064), is on display at the California Science Center, Exposition Park, at Los Angeles, California."

As for the Avro Arrow, it was never really a fighter jet, more a pure interceptor, great in a straight line and fast (ie. more of a muscle-car).
