remember them
Remember this Memorial Day; when you're eating your barbecue, smiling and laughing, that in another house somewhere, there's an empty chair where a hero should be sitting. They gave up their lives so that you can sit with your family. So take a moment to think about the heroes that that did not make it home and for those who are still serving around the world
My I Never Forget The lord said two are going and only one is coming back He never told me your name He did not ask me if that is who I would chose He did not tell me when one of us would go He did not ask if I would give my life for you I guess he decided your family could handle the loss better than mine ,or he needed a better soldier than me What ever the reason he took you and left me . For that I am forever in your debt for stepping up and saying Lord Oh Precious Lord take me Allow Doc the will power to survive and care for others that are wounded . For that I Thank You and the families of every serviceman that gave his life because one of them took my place Charles Doc Chapman 1968-69 Combat medic Viet Nam |
