Default I need a Persuasive speech topic

I wanted to do turbos vs superchargers but my teacher said that its not a good topic as very little people in my class even know what they are or how they work.

Im thinking of doing it on limiting video game usage for kids. I myself spent the majority of my 7th grade-post high school playing MMO's. I quit playing a year ago and never looked back. Im a certified scuba diver and got the miata running after starting the FI plunge 2 years prior. Anyone think its a good idea? The speech needs to be 6-8 minuets.

Thanks.

Sounds like a good idea especially since you can add your own experiences to it. I'd go for it.

Theres lots of good topics in diving, like preservation and whatnot, back in highschool I did a paper or two about preserving the karst plain (underwater limestone caves which are very common here in florida)

Lots of topics with cars as well, maybe you could do soemthing about efficiency. Maybe talk about how everyone wants MPG's yet is unwilling to drive a lighweight small car, you can explain that a 87 CRX with carbs was able to do 50mpg, meanwhile a prius cant even touch 50mpg

oh thats a good one, Im going to paris with my family during christmas. We all concluded that a vacation to a foreign country would be much more rewarding than dealing with the overwhelming commercialism of an american christmas

That was the topic for one of our debates in a consumerism class.
