Rossi out for four races
Just found out Rossi had a huge highside in practice and broke his leg. He is supposedly out for at least four races. Wow...
This is a rare thing for Rossi. Up until now he was supposedly working on a 260+ consecutive race record. Had not missed a race since 1996 if I heard it right. |

Rossi is the man, no doubt about it .

You heard right. He'd never been in a serious crash before.
At least that gives a Spaniard (Lorenzo or Pedrosa) a chance to become world champion this year. |
Never knew Moto GP as well as F1, and since I never knew who was who and what was what, I stopped watching it a year or two ago. Definitely knew who Rossi was. What're the specs on the current bikes? Gotta find a video of this crash.
Well all the videos suck so here's some decent pictures. Looks like he got his leg tucked under himself and it must of snapped. Ouch. |
I'm almost sure the current bikes are 800cc. That was a really nasty highside. I'm a big Spies fan since I kinda hung out with him before all his recent fame.

Highsides suck. I had one racing two years ago and if it never happens again it will be too soon. I fared much better than Rossi though.
Yes 800cc. They are going through the same thing as F1. Less displacement to slow them down bui they keep going faster anyway. A few years ago the Ducati 1000cc was making 250bhp. |
