Default GT3271 Fitment

Hello all,

Alright I'm back from Iraq and just got the engine back from the machine shop. So I'm finished putting the engine together but I've noticed something. I have a BEGI exhaust manifold and a GT3271 turbo... and from what I've seen from just eye balling it, it seems that the turbo isn't going to fit.. If anyone has any experience with it maybe I could get some pointers... I know andyfloyd has the turbo but he has a JGS style log manifold with the t3 footprint facing up a little. If this doesn't fit I guess I'm gonna look for someone that would wanna trade a turbo that would fit. thanks in advance.

Nick

You need to do some strategic trimming the of the shelf but you can get it in there.

nothing a grinder won't address. you're not really modifying until you've had to "clearance" the block with a grinder to make your new big turbo fit.
