Default shipping a bumper cover

firstly, what carrier should one use to ship a bumper cover. it's just going from one end of the state to the other. secondly, how much can one expect to pay to ship a bumper cover? i don't have one to weigh so i'm just wondering who has done it before.

I primarily use UPS when I ship bumpers.

Older chrome bumpers I just wrap in a ton of bubble wrap and foam, while newer style plastic bumpers I have to box up.

Expect to pay somewhere in the range of $80-$120 depending on weight and dimensions.

wow. didn't expect all that. you don't think it's an option to wrap up the bumper cover in plastic and ship it like that? considering usps rarely measures my stuff and how light it is, i was thinking more like $40 tops. i don't know though, that's why i'm asking.

If you want it to arrive intact, you box it. They'll destroy the everliving ---- out of it otherwise.

If all you do is slap a sticker on it then yeah, it'll probably be a little cheaper. Cheaper isn't always better, especially with UPS.

Last bumper I shipped was a Cadillac Escalade front bumper and it was to somewhere in NY or MA, I forget. It was like $160ish IIRC. Huge box though.

Look into Greyhound bus.

http://www.shipgreyhound.com/

You will have to take it to a bus station, and the other guy will have to pick it up at his end.

You do not think he would drop it off at the bus station?

I have shipped alot of oversized parts that way, but I could be spoiled beacuse I have to drive past the bus station on the way home.
