What a fucktard. I feel bad for that kid's future employer. Fortunately, I can't think of any respectable tech school in KY whose reputation he is slandering ;)

The_Pipefather 06-14-2008 08:47 AM

To build and refine a simple, accurate 1-D model I've seen my colleagues take months. I don't know what this idiot is talking about.

StankCheeze 06-14-2008 10:18 AM

Savington, there are no F1 sporting regulations limiting RPMs.

Uh, you better check that again.

19k.

StankCheeze 06-14-2008 11:12 AM

My mistake, that changed in 07 with the new FIA mandated ECUs. :(

I remember Honda pushing 20,5 in 06 :)

And Ferrari pushing "20,000+ RPM" per the USGP program.. :eek5:

All you guys trying to get me to turbo, when for less than 4 grand I could have 200HP on an NA block. For shame.

Honda was the only one to back it up in race with onboard telemetry on TV. ;)

Of course, 06 was also the year that Honda couldn't complete a race without at least one driver having an engine failure.

:jerkit:

I'm sure Ferrari didn't have the budget to create an engine that could out-rev the Hondas. :giggle:

PAT! 06-14-2008 01:41 PM

So if we spend 125k on a BP we can match the power output of the average modified B series in a Civic rolling on cut springs? And this makes the BP "surprisingly similar" to a K series, a motor that puts the B series to shame?

And it only took the unwarranted self confidence of 5.5 degrees to vomit forth such drivel?

At least be creative with your dissent. If I post a thread here, it's not like I'm going to forget. I just can't politely tell him he's a retard, so I rely on you guys to do it :bigtu:

Hey Sav... i think someone needs a warning on m.net for advertising and not being a sponsor.....

That guy makes me want to punch black babies.

Stealth97 06-14-2008 04:31 PM

now hes bragging about his degrees, lol

Braineack 06-14-2008 05:40 PM

Keith wins for best underhanded jab at FFS

Yeah, but a highly-tuned NA motor will outlast a stock FFS one

TonyV 06-14-2008 07:24 PM

I'm so happy i have a turbo in my engine bay...

hustler 06-14-2008 10:44 PM

the miata motor is a dinosaur, of course it pales in comparison.

Put the request in for a signature change just now. If you're going to break forum rules by advertising your business and not paying the dues, you should try really hard to not be a fucking tool, flaunt your degrees, and generally inform everyone with any experience with these motors about how wrong they've been doing it for 20+ years.

Doppelgänger 06-15-2008 04:29 PM

hahaha asshat's signature is no more. I win. And my reply to him on there also wins.

Braineack 06-15-2008 04:59 PM

im pissed he ignored the two images of ported heads.

18psi 06-15-2008 05:23 PM

damn..he sounds like he's pretty smart, but doesnt know shit about topic in question, just tries to work all his math skills and big words in there and throwing his degrees in there for good measure to sound like he's the smartest person in the world....thats what i got out of it anyways *shrug*

Zabac 06-16-2008 10:54 AM

My head hurts, i think pipe put it best though...

"In theory there's no difference between theory and practice; in practice, there is"
I would call him book smart, kinda like the cheerleaders in high school, remember those, straight A's but dumb as shit, makes you want to jizz all over their faces.
Sorry for the vulgarity.

jsisco 06-16-2008 11:09 AM

god, he wont STFU.

Zabac 06-16-2008 04:11 PM

we should ban him, it is apparant that he does not intend to turbo his car, lol

Pitlab77 06-16-2008 04:25 PM

you think after having the motor around for what 20 something years that it would have been figure out by now.

Zabac 06-16-2008 04:33 PM

Introduced in 1985, when engineering hours were much cheaper :giggle:

Braineack 06-16-2008 04:37 PM

it's pretty much favorite engine. breed for it's magical abilites.
