I already have a slingbox setup up in Ny at my fathers house. This sling catcher looks like it will be pretty awesome, especially since you can hook up a usb hard drive to it. I may hold off on putting together a media pc since all I really want is mass storage and a way to play it. Im just wondering what kind of output it will have. Discuss.

Sounds awesome but I have seen much cheaper things on ebay which are basically media players with RCA-outs with or without harddrives. IIRC, they're under $100.

I have a DVD player with a USB port. When I d/l movies, I just copy them straight to the thumb drive and plug it into the DVD Player. voila, movies on mah TV. Watched "no country for old men" yesterday.

 

I would do the media PC.
