I don't know about you guys but I'll be on youtube.com later to look for videos! :bigtu:

y8s 12-29-2006 10:47 PM

yoda has it right. we just built us a shiny new martyr for iraq.

hustler 12-29-2006 11:26 PM

I'd feel alot better about this guy getting executed if the trial was less controversial.

this will probably produce a slew of granola eating, trustafarian, political themed bumper stickered sympathizers in Santa Fe.

Pitlab77 12-30-2006 01:40 AM

Your suggestion was to torture him for a while? Go medieval on his ass?

TheBandit 12-30-2006 01:56 AM

He does have a point. Make cruel and unusual is necessary in some circumstances?

akaryrye 12-30-2006 02:01 AM

I am glad it has happened, but I think simply leaving the country alone entirely would have been far better if we could go back. I guess hindsight is always 20/20.

Mymiataflys 12-30-2006 02:22 AM

Shoulda used nerve gas on him nstead of hanging, hope they didn't let him fall far nuff to snap his neck.

that7guy 12-30-2006 03:39 AM

The only thing thats changed between 9:59 and 10:01 is that CNN and the likes have a new story to cover.

magnamx-5 12-30-2006 08:20 AM

I agree with akaryrye. but noone wants to here what we have to say on this :(

What makes you think that? I always welcome any intelligent discussion. State your mind - what do you think about it?

Let me ask you one question, do you think the world is better off without him?

magnamx-5 12-30-2006 08:57 AM

I know you dont mind RM i just seems every time i post up on something like this it gets ignored. Or people start to complain about punctuation. I believe it makes no difference as that type of person still exists, everywhere and there are atleast 1K people in that region who where itching to take his place anyway. We have substituted a known status qou and visibile enemy for a sense of entitlement and self importance. With Sadam in power at least we knew who was pulling the strings in Iraq. And since Iran and Tehran Etc all dont get along with Iraq. We could use that to stunt any major growth into a power that ws capable of harming us. All the while they would be selling us oil to fund there efforts agianst each other. But we did so oil is outrgeusly inflated we have a multitude of moderate to severe radicals gathering support on their grass roots movements. And we have a whole lot of casualties and lives lost. I liken the situation to my generations veitnam. In urban/guerilla warfare and peace keeping, the stress and general practices can wear thin on anyone. Think about it if every one you might might be a bomb, this stess level can cause nervouse brakedowns as well as the loss of innocents when soldiers over react. Then if and when they get into a real killing situation it will be easier to kill agian and if they are in dangerous enough area just shooting anyone who spooks them or looks to be a threat, can be adictive. If and when these people get back here and they meet with any oposition from a local or some one else or there neighbor is just being a niusance. They would be alot more likely to go postal and do alot of damage. It saddens me to see people my age polluted like that.

y8s 12-30-2006 12:29 PM

the worst part about this? people will think it is "closure" for 9/11!!

Loki047 12-30-2006 12:31 PM

anyone have a link to that video yet? Ive seen the noose video i want to see that fucker hanged.

The trial was just a show, everyone knew he was going to be killed. Im glad they killed him fast instead of waiting and giving time to insurgents.

I hardly think so.

hustler 12-30-2006 12:36 PM

I agree with magna. Although he was an evil peice of shit, its a very ugly sittuation. How would any ruler react to a rebel group staging an assassination? What would you do if a nation was giving you weapons to fight a war as a proxy, to find out that same nation was dumping weapons into the enemy you were contracted to wage war against. What if someone gave you chemical weapons to fight rebels / communists, then sends you to the gallows for using them?

With that said, he was an evil fuck who cut off people's feet and executed thousands. I wish the media and our nation had the self respect to discuss how the USA empowered this evil man.

no, really, there's a lot of people out there that think they are one and the same.

Loki047 12-30-2006 01:00 PM

Im waiting for people to see elvis and saddam drinking tea together

kotomile 12-30-2006 01:01 PM

Good riddance.

I'm curious what implications this will have on the sectarian violence there, especially around Baghdad/Sadr City. I would think Sunnis would be emboldened and the Kurds and Shia will celebrate. Time will tell.

Fritch 12-30-2006 07:47 PM

Philip 12-30-2006 07:55 PM
