LOL.

Should probably keep on trying to get it to build boost in the meantime, though!

pdexta 01-27-2014 03:54 PM

I bet you could talk him down a good bit and it'd be decent (other than the gay automatic). All it needs are new coilpacks and it'd run fine.

Ehhh, nevermind it's hacked to crap. Still looks like some decent parts there at least.

ScottyP3821 01-27-2014 03:59 PM

The way I see it someone could low ball him at say 3k and get back to life. I don't know about everyone else but ALWAYS bring a compression tester with you and Some 5/8ths sockets LOL. I think this car goes with out saying.

18psi 01-27-2014 04:03 PM

can't build boost? no problem

mbc and crank it up all the way

that fixes everything

sixshooter 01-27-2014 04:27 PM

I'm not surprised that someone who can't end a sentence and begin another one can't figure out logically how to repair his car.

Braineack 01-27-2014 05:05 PM

Yeah, it's an auto miata. so Fail.

even the exact same car, with the exact same issues, but manual, wouldn't even be fail in comparison.

Nope just an auto with a clutch master cylinder

........... Ok so it was more of a fail when strictly talking about turbo set-up's

ScottyP3821 01-27-2014 07:36 PM

There is fail all the way to the core. It's got a preety green radiator also to go with that a/t. Obviously the seller never read a single thread on here. The noobiest noob that ever noobed. Haha

Edit

I also thought about fuckin with him and sending an email asking what stage it was.

18psi 01-28-2014 01:41 PM

weird, the emblem has two horns.

GeneSplicer 01-29-2014 02:34 PM

My NB is an auto - and it put 210 at the wheels no problem... was weird not hearing the BOV purge until I let off the throttle. Shifting was/is still smooth.
But it now has a cracked ring on #4 so I'm in the middle of yanking everything out. will have 6spd when it goes back in.

18psi 01-29-2014 03:08 PM

does the trans ever get "confused" with the turbo altering the load and torque output?

Full_Tilt_Boogie 01-29-2014 03:51 PM

Its probably too stupid to get confused. Like an earth worm.

No problems at all. And nothing had to be done to it running the MS ecu as it has it's own computer.
I will admit, the converter made it feel like a slipping clutch, obviously, but at redline it'd hesitate for a second before shifting.

jacob300zx 01-29-2014 10:00 PM

At least it doesn't drop boost between shifts. You should get a big stall converter and go troll stop lights.

Braineack 01-30-2014 08:05 AM

get an ECU that can handle flat shiting. *gasp*

now you can focus on dropping the bass.
