gotta go steal back my seats, harnesses, COPs, roll bar, :brain: MS, TURBO kitz, exhaust and etc etc.... coilovers are prolly fxxxed.

Open the hood and snap me a couple of photos of the engine bay on the right side, and a couple of detailed photos of the shock tower area. Also snap a couple photos of the undercarriage and right side suspension. That looks very fixable from the outside.

I don't have the car with me... the shock tower was completely tipped in towards the engine and the frame around the passenger door was shifted back, if that makes sense... my car's kbb value is probobly only 5k or so.... plus im out of state so if the insurance compay wanted to repair it they would also have to cover food, lodging and rental car til my car is fixed... thats big $$$$. :(

Ah, lame. Settle with insurance, buy a clean straight shell, buy your car back, and swap all the parts. Sucks but if you do it right you'll end up with money in pocket.

he was going about the speed limit (it seems) which is 35mph... he blazed right throught the red. what really pisses me off is that there was a car already stopped at the light so 1 )it blocked my view of him coming and 2) HOW DID HE GO PASSED A STOPPED CAR AND STILL NOT REALIZE THE LIGHT WAS RED?!?!?!?

I made those TSI's out of the old turn signals, then tinted them black... I think theres a build thread on here I made for them. Don't know if u want those per say. lol

It is at a tow yard, I told him earlier to get it towed back to where he is staying at as fast as possible.

Yes, get the car now. I went through this earlier this year...you own the car, not the insurance company. They take ownership when you agree to the terms of the settlement via signature.

Get that shit out ASAP. When mine was totaled I had to pay "storage" fees plus the towing and a bunch of bs and I was not at fault. When I checked the car out someone tried to remove my radio.

I remember I immediately disconnected my MS, wideband, and some other shit I had around at the scene of the accident.

Yup, get it back and start stripping anything of value before they take it to the auction lot. Even if 3 wheels are good take them, etc. This will make the switch to the next car way cheaper. Remember what Hustler said, Its your car until they pay you whats owed.

If it has a torsen, find a open diff and swap it out so you will have a torsen for the next miata. You said it has coilovers, even if one is FUBAR take them anyway.

When a friend of mine wrecked his 03 I told him to get it towed to his house immediatly. We swapped my 5-speed out for his 6-speed and my open diff for his T-F diff. I also got sport brakes cause the steelies he had wouldnt fit over the brakes so we swapped those too. :giggle:
