So it was nice knowing y'all...

Thanks Miataturbo, for saving us all from the lameness that is M.Net...

Well it's been a fun ride, been playing with Miata's since 1995, and now it's time to move on. I sold my Miata today. Good luck to all of you... I'll probably still pop in here from time to time.

Keep the shiny side up,

Mark

Mark, you motherfucker. You better keep us updated on project turbo ninja.

Oh and.. Youll be back, they always come back.

Miatamaniac92 08-05-2008 06:51 PM

Didn't you already get out of miatas once before and come back?

You'll be back.

Chris

bye to a legend in the miata world (I still remember S.W.A.T)

Newbsauce 08-05-2008 07:56 PM

what a homo..you finally moved near everyone here and then you quit!

Arkmage 08-05-2008 08:30 PM

enjoy your new life in the NE. let us know what you end up buying to replace it, nobody can completely give up sports cars once they've owned something like a 300whp miata.

m2cupcar 08-05-2008 10:10 PM

looking forward to your youtube motorcycle stunt video debut :D have fun

LOL, that's why I purchased the 111 RWHP SV1000, I'm a speed junkie... I'll admit it.

2450 Lbs / 300 RWHP

640 Lbs / 111 RWHP

You do the math.... :D

Mark

PS - To all you DC guys, I'd love to meet you all. I will poke my head in here from time to time, but I am done with Miata.net unless someone needs a good ethugging.

y8s 08-05-2008 11:00 PM

just needed another 130 hp on the miata...

i'll make a mental note of any fast motorcycles i see up your way.

Toddcod 08-06-2008 08:34 AM

Bike's always screw up your passion for a car. You'll be back in 2 yrs though.
I sold the mustangs and bought a GSXR 1000, then ZX10R, and now I have a polished ZX9R. I'm ready for cars again.
Keep a car for winter!

Good luck!

i know right!? i was hoping I'd get a chance to take a drive in a +300rwhp miata with nitrous to spool the freaking turbo.

Now that Mark is leaving (so he says...) who will get banned repeatedly in his place? Hell, that was 1/2 the fun on m.net and ms.com.

Ain't that the truth. I had my FM kit in my garage for over a yr because I was too busy riding my Triumph Speed Triple. Now the Miata's turbo'd...it still sits more than the bike.

kotomile 08-06-2008 04:45 PM

Sucks to see you go man, you'll be back.

And stop all the damn bike talk! I'm still trying to convince myself that I don't want one. :)

hustler 08-06-2008 05:07 PM

thanks for everything

As long as my Miata is more reliable than my bike or other car, I'll continue driving it more. Plus, the Miata is consistently ~5mph faster through turns than the Duc, though the fun-factor is hard to compare.
