Sold my Miata to a Friend

OK, so I only sold one of them.

My Red, Turbo, 1991 is in the hands of a friend that needed to get back into Miatas. I wasn't driving it near enough and it was sitting for weeks at a time. It deserves better treatment than I was giving it, and now it will shine.

Hopefully he will be joining the forum soon so that you guys can tell him everything I did wrong with the car.

I still have my 2010 PRHT(old people here), my '91 Auto, my soon to be completed Catfish, and my share of "The Beast" to qualify me as a Miataturbo person.

I will leave my signature as is until he adopts it.

Your friend who?

I didn't know you were building a catfish, that's sweet. Maybe I can check it out once you're done, you still do LVMOC stuff? I need to go on a ride.

Fireindc 09-08-2014 11:18 AM

Pretty awesome, olderguy. Please update us on the catfish build, I'd love to see some build pictures.

olderguy 09-08-2014 11:45 AM

My Catfish build is being done completely by Cordy from scratch and is being used by him to prove out different designs as he sees fit, except that the final car will be Volcano Red, chrome wheels, and Black Exige seats I sent him.

Everything else is at his discretion.

Brian G. and I still do LVMOC stuff, but I don't "HAVE" to be there every time since I gave up being an officer.

Hi all. Looks like "Brian G." was taken, so I had to pick an alternative. :) OG - I'm loving the car. Just polished and waxed it earlier today, and it's really looking good. And obviously it's fun to drive...

Sup dude. Post some pics of that bad boy.

Very cool. And thanks for attaching the pics for those of us at work :)

Welcome to the forum Brian.

And olderguy - didn't realize you're still so into these things. Hardly ever see you post anymore. Really cool that you've still got quite the stable of these things.

DNA Doc 09-09-2014 02:06 PM

Fireindc and 18psi - thanks for the welcome. :) I should mention that I no longer own the 2001 car - I ended up selling it to a friend last year.

Brian, how do you like the new NA vs your old NB?

Also, EMU works when setup right (which I'm sure olderguy did do correctly). But if you want to get with the times, a MS3 would go nicely with that setup :)

Thanks Fire. :) I love the NA. I've owned 3 of them so far, though this is the first one I've had with a turbo. My NB was faster, and its limits were ultimately higher I think, but both are incredible amounts of fun. My general overall preference for Miatas is NA>NB>NC.
