At least you weren't on your bike and going fast.

You should have taken the bump straight on - a jump woulda been more spectacular.

well we were trying to roll it... and im the dumbest one in the group. The first run in that video was me just tightening the harness. I wish i was wearing straps to keep my arms in, forutnatly i was quick enough not to break my arms.

We have 6 inches of droop, jumps are pretty non eventful.

That's pretty cool that you can build something like that - for credit??

Do you have a mandated formula, or is it "bring your best but keep it under $2500?" That's a real tight budget, guess it forces you to use a live crash-test dummy, eh?

There is no budget restriction to my knowledge... they are however limited to a crate Briggs motor that they give you at competition to avoid people modifying them. The SAE teams are usually non-credit. Some schools have a program where you can get credit for the 60-100 hours a week in the garage... mine didn't :(

Damn straight, thats the best compliment Ive gotten in a long time.

Magna always knows what to say to make me feel better.

We do get credit for it, 2 hrs per semester. I think most schools have a sr design project, this was ours. We had 5 people and had to build a car. To our knowledge we will be the first team to us a 4link and competition. In the front we have 18 inches of articulation, in the rear we have 24 inches of articulation. The front suspension gains camber and caster in droop and compression.

We have a top speed of 22mph but with the new sprocket set were putting on were probably looking at 30.

We have FSAE but they get 10 grand and 9 people, they have no impact loads, and only 2 inches of suspension travel. Im bitter. Baja is the black sheep of the school, we always perform the best with the smallest budget and the smallest teams.

Our car had lots of impact/shock loads.... it's all about how nice the driver is

Ban me, go ahead, you got me shaking at my keyboard worrying what am I going to do now. I didn't know **** about your single passenger off-road car, and if I had , it still wouldn't have changed my opinion about that lame *** video. If you want to flip it then really flip the thing.

Some of you guys that have been on this board for a while think it's great to say what ever you want, then when someone who's not in your little group speaks out it's soooo wrong. The way y'all act is worse than the pointy heads at m.net. " Don't **** me off or I'll tell your momma or I might even BAN you from playing in my yard "

I worked on the FSAE team at school this year, it was part of my Machine Design course in the fall, we designed the suspension for it.
Our Baja team is pretty sweet, TTU usually does really well at the competition.
Looks like you guys do have some pretty heavy body roll but that tends to come with that much articulation. Cool stuff.
