Default Stance of the union

This is going to be a little weird for some, but I had to ask is this just me?

Stance: Defined | StanceWorks

This weekend a Stance event will be taking place near Dallas. Now I know some people don't like drifting, and some don't like drag. I happen to enjoy both types of racing, but I can't get my head around Stance. I know its not racing, and I've never been into lowriding, or hoppers, and maybe thats the reason why, but this just seems silly.

It looks like most of these cars are far from functional, and are at best eyecandy if you enjoy that sort of thing. I will be going to the event to take photos, and maybe seeing some of these car in person will change my mind, but for now this just seems really lame.

In the description, the guys actually implies damage caused by your car being excessively low is almost a positive thing. I think you can find wannabe kid drifter who say that sort of thing, but no one who pays the repair bill is that stupid.

BTW - I did not put this under events because I don't want to influence some to go to this thing and then have them get upset with me when they realize it sucks.

sounds like the slammed thread over on CR where they brag about breaking oil pans.....
Stancewerks/Slamburglers/Homoslam are a bunch of ------s.
anyone that slams a car beyond any use (unless its a 64 impala aka oldschool lowriders)
should be burnt at the stake.

Stanceworks doesn't appear to have any obvious relationship with Stance USA, the suspension company, other than ripping off the Stance name.

Thats about what I was thinking.

This seems like a waste of money, and maybe a nice car.

I just don't see the point.

oops2low - Just wondering, what are you doing to get banned 4 times on CR. Is your signature an accurate representation of how the guys over their feel for you

i think it's excellent to get all these people and cars together in one spot, makes them easier targets.

well the majority of CR are from So Cal, and i happen to say something about their messiah (CE28N) something along the lines of how retarded his car was and how much they sucked his **** on the forum. I then got flamed for it and they never let it go. Personally I find it awesome that me one person can get soo many dumb ***** angry over one comment about someones car. And since CR is over run by So Calians, I get "user complaint" bans.
gotta love the mods that ride so cal dick (Revlimiter, Foo, Freedom)

^^

I agree. But my OG status on there keeps me away form the ban stick That or they don't mind me stirring the shitpot.
Foo isn't all that bad, he's local here and I know him.

The whole slammed **** is getting out of hand. Leave that **** for the FagWagons and eurococks. Mark my words, the next band wagon on there will be postings similar to this and oops2low's. I've been saying this **** for years and now it's catching on over ther. Me, nannerpuss, cheesfries, oops2low and a few others post how we really feel about the same generic **** that runs rampid over there. I get a kick how they're all going apeshit over suspension componants that are partially or fully assembled in China and are exclusive to eBay.

You have to be kidding me. But I do love integrals that involve integrating from oilpan to muffler.

This is exactly why I did not post it in the events section. I can't have people thinking I support that nonsense. That dude had the never to create a formula, as if this is really something other than lowering your car to the point of it being silly. No formula needed.

I still can't get over damage being a good thing.

yeah rusted fenders and stock engine, and dont even get me started on the staggered 13 fronts 14 rears. ******* retarded. It makes no logical sense besides looking like a retarded fool. I just find it hilarious how many guys suck each others dicks on that forum. I remember reading a post about someone from like norway asking for a socal dealer license plate frame.....
suck some more **** please?
Oh **** dawg i can slams my whip yo!
i just remove dah helper springz and den maybe like a collar and den i addz the negative -20 cambarz with wheels on 195s dawg. Im hellagayflush.

The thing that makes me LOLZ is that they all hate on sportmaxx and knock off wheels yet more than half of them roll on either XXR wheels or some other knockoff.
Im pretty sure most of you saw the "drift" video they did at willow springs i think, where only one of them was actually drifting (the flake paint NB)

I don't know what that's supposed to mean but it offends my mathematical sensibilities. Anyone who passed basic algebra should immediately notice the superfluous use of parentheses. Do our public schools no longer teach children the standard order of operations? One could eliminate 10 of the 12 parentheses in the dividend and 2 of 4 in the divisor and still end up with a mathematically equivalent expression! That abomination wouldn't stand up to the scrutiny of a 6th grade math class, much less entitle its author to participate in any discussion of suspension engineering.

YES!

He is the one with the candy flavoured dick that the SoCal folks love to lick on regular basis.

People can do what they want with their cars...but that math is an abomination.

At first I was kind of excited for those guys. After all...if you can quantify it...it exists. After actually looking at the formulas I realized it's a stupid joke to make them feel good about wrecking perfectly good cars.

If they want to enjoy it for the visual aspects fine....but don't try an talk yourself into believing it's a science.

EDIT: Just read where he claims to be an engineer in the first paragraph...I'm laughing my *** off right now.

I have seen a lot of different style Miata's at some local meets over the past couple of months. Really changed the way I see the cars. The owners are not much different than any other car person, they just like a particular style of car and they mod their car accordingly. I classify them right up there with the guys running around this forum with little turbos...not what I would do, but nobody asked for my opinion anyways.

You think i'm an idiot for running a little turbo?!

I met a VW guy a while back with a car so low he said he has to change his oil pan with pretty much every oil change.
