Came out of the house today to find my '88 Topaz that I bought for $125 sitting ON the front passenger wheel. Like someone took it off to get at the brakes for some reason. They took the wheel off and threw the lug nuts across my yard. I found 2.

I'm trying to figure this out.

I live in a good neighborhood, 30 year old houses, mature home owners, well established area. I have no enemies. Even if I had some, they don't know where I live. I keep my yard in great shape and my house isn't an eyesore (though the Topaz is.. a topaz). I have no animals, so no angry neighbors w/ poo in their yard. I do live on a corner lot, and there are no street lights on this side of the neighborhood... but that fact aside I still can't figure out what someone would want w/ an '88 Topaz when my '94 Z28 was sitting right there too.

I was wondering if maybe they wanted the brakes for some reason but... really?? There's a junkyard about 6 miles away where the brakes could be bought for $15.

I called all my friends and my neighbors. I'm genuinely convinced it wasn't a prank.... at least, not from someone I know.

Any ideas guys? My neighbor wants me to call the cops for fingerprinting but come on.. nothing was missing and the car is only worth like $400. I bet they'd just laugh at me.

I have a katrina colony down the street in very nice apartment that I can't afford. I know 2 cops in town who say regals and caprices are getting stolen non-stop, lol.

That is really weird. I feel like the guy didn't realize what a shitty car it was at first, finally looked at what he was working on and was like eff this piece of ****, threw the lug nuts and left..

Ya FRT Fun, but my Z28 is red, 6 sp, and LOUD. 1 tire off it is worth more than the Topaz. Plus the brakes can be swapped onto 82-92 F-body's, Malibu, El Camino, Blazers, many others.

I really think someone was just playing a prank on me. I still have no idea why. No punk kids live within eyesight of my house. Who would take the time to bring a jack and tire iron just to play a prank? Risk getting shot for that? That's gotta be the dumbest thing ever.

Actually I can't shoot anyone, I don't own a gun. But now that P22 isn't sounding like a bad idea. I keep a knife by my bedside, not sure why... lol I guess so a burglar can slice me up. Visiting a pawn shop this weekend. I need a gun.

Vash, I moved from my townhouse and got away from the low-rent morons. Bought this house back in August. I'm about 5 miles away from that area and about 2 miles away from any type of rental property at all.

Magna, I'm in Florence. Been here 18 years of my life. Watched it go from a population of about 11k to what it is today; a documented 28k which means more like 40k when you take all the mexican communities into consideration.

Thinking back to when I was a punk *** kid growing up in a trailer park, we didn't do goofy **** like this to people unless either A) they asked for it somehow, or B) it was the night before Halloween.

If this happened overnight it would've been somewhere in the low to mid 20's outside, and Wednesday night it rained/snowed.

I don't think there's going to be any good answers as to why this happened. Somehow, I feel the need to make a statement. Hope I don't catch anyone out there, I'd probably pepper spray them, beat the **** out of em, roll 'em under the car and drop their jack. Walk back inside and go back to bed.
