Question Lincoln Square Wave Tig 175 - reviews?

Hey gays - been seriously contemplating on buying a Lincoln square wave 175. It's the intro unit that allows me everything I would like to do - inclucing learing the art of tig welding aluminum and stainless. But for $1900 it better be a great setup!

So for you experienced welders - is this a unit I'll regret buying in the future b/c of lack of power, versatility, or something?

I have a Miller Syncrowave 175 TIG which is the red unit's blue cousin. It's been everything I needed for the last eight years. You will be fine. IIRC mine was 1750 on line so 1900 isn't bad for that many years later.

its ok, if you want to get in there and dirty it will work great.

the square wave doesnt have some of the nice basic features like AC balance and postflow control that you might get on a syncrowave or a precision series welder.

I used the variable AC balance for the first time when I did my recent intake and it actually made life easier. I also vary post flow often as well.

Maybe you can find a used TIG185 (my machine) locally for a similar price?
