I'm thinking about it. But im signed up for This weekend Aug 26-27 for the main track. But the shenendoah looks fun!

Shenendoah looks like a fun track, wonder if that banked corner is anything like the carousel at the Nurburgring, shame you guys will never get the chance to drive it in your cars since its the most amazing experiance ever.

Does look like a good track, whoever goes should post up a video of the lap, shame i will never get to try it out, unless someone wants to lend me a Miata ;)
On the nurburgring side of things i went for 5 days and only managed one dry lap the rest it was raining, its about a 12mile long track so weather changes on each side of the circuit, good laugh did 8 laps in total i think that works out as about 92miles of hard driving :) |

fwiw- I drove Mosport before it was repaved, when it had 6" frost heaves in it. Catching air in the middle of a turn at 90mph = amazing. :eek5: brg- If you have a welder you can make a cam mount in less than hour. Basically an exhaust clamp sized for the roll bar, with a bar welded to it, a bolt for a hinge, another bar and then a flat plat to mount the camera. They've worked great so far. I usually wrap some thick rubber around the bar then clamp over it. Works well with image stabilized cameras. Here's a drawing. - rob |

Anything would be more fun than my car right now- it has no engine. ;)
I had a tripod head like that at one point but it disappeared. I just started making them because it was easier to leave them in the cars vs. moving them around each time. But the solid head worked better for me, than the bushing type. The bushing seemed to trick the image stabilization in a few of the cameras I used. |
I made up a great camera mount using two bits of MDF, and using the headrest posts (If you have them) works a charm :)

That works. I know that some of the "sanctioners" are particular about camera mounts. Just depends on who is looking. All you need now is one of those clip-on wide angle lenses. btw- you're exhaust sounds great. - rob
