Damn, today has been crazy. I got home from school at about 2:15, and by the time I got in the house, poured me a drink and was walking back through the living room I look out the back door and see 3 cops cars driving around in my back yard. This isn't TOO uncommon, since we live next to some fairly high crime apartments with a bunch of illegal Mexican, so I figure they are just using it to turn around. They jump out and start looking around the yard with guns drawn. I think... OK, so I sit on the couch next to the window and watch for a while. I poke my head out the back door and they silently wave me back in, so I wave and go back in. Later they walk back to my porch and I step out and they tell me a child rapist they had chased from a few cities away was just spotted and cornered at the city park next to my house ,and the got away and was spotted last in my yard, and he may be armed. So I go back in and lock my door and keep watch.

Soon after, the 3 cop cars has turned into local city, Birmingham Metro, and another large city of Hoover, probably 10 cars total surrounding my house and immediate area. I have fully tacted out guys with AR's and a K9 unit sniffing around my house, going through my junk and non running "project" cars, and looking in my sheds. After a little while it cools down a bit, and everyone in the neighborhood is out on the street and I chill on the back porch and watch them flipping **** over and clearing the area. All the while a Birmingham police helicopter is just above the trees circling my yard. An hour later they are still around, 3 or 4 higher ranked guys are in front of my house talking over the radio, I guess leading the search.

Another hour goes by and it has gotten pretty quiet, no sign of the guy. About that time the AR carrying guys come back from wherever they had gone and I overhear them say they found fresh tracks at the creek bank, just across the main road in front of my house. So most of the pack up and move 1/4 mile down the road. Now it's 7, and they just all swarmed back and have the roads blocked off. They found a car in the middle of the road with the engine running, lights on and the door wide open, but no driver anywhere to be seen. I hope the guy wasn't hiding out and got somebody.

Pretty exciting day for a relatively quiet city. The previous most exciting thing was a drunk Mexican shitting in my yard last year. He came up on my porch and asked for clothes, **** faced drunk. The cops finally showed up and took him off. He left me his shitty underwear in the bushes. Was pretty funny.

 

It was probably pedobear.

 

They want his ***! I wish it wasn't dark, I can't see what's going on.

Those things are like shooting paintball guns, well maybe a little more kick. But not much. I'm still pissing with that guy on M.net. Booooooooooored

 

Did anyone else think this was going to be about a coil on plug setup??? Wrong section I guess anyways... Kind of a messed up story, I've been debating about getting into law enforcement after getting out of the military. Rapists are a good motivator to do so.

They apparently found him and have him cornered under a bridge about 1/8 mile from my house. He has a gun and is threatening to blow his brains out. I say let him. So I may hear a or some gun shots here soon. I would go watch from the corner of my yard, which would be a stone throw away, but they turned me away.

Reminds me of something that happened many many years ago. I was out working on my brothers truck (before I had a license) and was just doing my thing when I hear a loud explosion from the property next to my neighborhood. So I walk up my driveway to look down the street and I see this small plume of smoke and people running around everwhere. Didn't seem like much until I realized everyone was in black and had guns. So I walked in the house. A little while later there are still guys with guns walking around the front of my neighborhood. A few years later I was talking with some friends and this chic pipes up about how SWAT had raided her house looking for her uncle because he was some big time drug runner or something...and it turned out it was the house next to my neighborhood.
