Got a "discover flying" lesson gift cert at a local airport. Includes about an hour of flying time. Not car related but close enough for this forum!

When a cop "talks to me" when I'm carrying, it usually ends up in me spending an hour on my knees, and not in a good way.

Meh... That's legal in SC. I carry either my Colt .45 Officer ACP or Makarov in my glovebox all the time. Never know...

Nice, I bought my brother the 4760 for Christmas along with L4D2! I need to get a 57XX model soon and run DX11.

I bought myself a new MSII daughterboard. My wife got me a LG BlueRay player, we also got a roomba.

I did all the giving this year:

Philips iPod dock stereo for my wife to go with new nano I got her for anniversary two weeks ago. Hit the nail on the head with that one as it was the exact style, size and options she wanted...and I actually surprised her this year.

Power Wheels Barbie Jeep for my 2yr old daughter (almost three), and she drove the thing down to the boat ramp and back (300yrds). She's already developed pretty good throttle modulation, but needs to work on her racing line. At least she's got "left" and "right" down.

Seecamp .32 for my Mom. Perfect concealed carry for a lady, great size and weight, and much more handsome than the KelTecs. Designed and hand made by this guy in California, sold here by a guy in Pearland (rharristown) that has like 8 of them sitting in his garage. Kind of funny, but good to find a stash of a hard to find gun that is exactly what Mom has been looking for. We would have gone to the range today, but were installing her other (family) gift, a gooseneck hitch so she can move her RV to a better spot on the lake. She lives up here to take care of our daughter, so we try and take care of her.

No car stuff. I didn't want to be distracted from spoiling the **** out of my loved ones this year. It was worth it. Not even a Momo suede wheel could make me feel better, and I'm rocking a torn up stocker with no airbag in it.

We also had both families in our house this year. Her family Christmas Eve, mine Christmas morning. I cooked roast, ham, and ribs for her family, and made a HUGE breakfast for mine. I got to enjoy playing guitar and singing oldies til 2am with my father in law, and having all my siblings (and Mom) in my house.

Turned out to be a good Christmas.

A Harbor freight floor jack, Autozone jackstands (only had 2), a basketball, a bottle of cognac, an electric wine bottle opener, and a home repair book.

Oh, and I bought a house.

Hoping the Christmas money will be enough for a Megasquirt and LC1.

I bought myself all my xmas car stuff: WISECO pistons, +1mm Supertech valves, ACT clutch and FM flywheel, flush mount CF lights, and misc motor build components. So I probably paid for a few forum members' gifts.

Other than that, I got a few bluray movies, a kick *** HD media player (HornetTek : Phantom), and a camelbak-type thing.

Sweet, I just got another gift from an old family friend that I haven't seen in a while. Flip Mino HD or something, this thing is sweet. It records an hour of hi-def video. I can't wait to try this out on my next fun run.

My mom hooked me up with pants, I've lost down from size 36 to 33.

Girlfriend refused to buy car stuff. So I bought myself a STS Turbo LOL.

i also hooked my brother up with a procharger from ebay for his Ws6. Yea he is paying me back.

The whole family thing went great this year!

I actually did a few mods to the Power Wheels today. My brother has the Miata (his Ninja is in the garage since he needed more carrying capacity for holidays), so what else am I going to do?

I did a pedal mod...which involved swapping the switch position to give more leverage on the pedal, and making a bracket for that side of the switch to "roll" on. These pedals come very stiff...and are nearly impossible for kids in the real weight range of these to depress. I thought it had some kind of "lawyer" spring in there I'd take a few coils out of...but it turned out to just be poor design using a very strong switch relay with very little mechanical advantage to switch it. I also raised the pedal off the floor an inch to make it easier to hit. It's a friggin' hair trigger now...but she could definitely tell the difference and REALLY enjoyed it today. Went much further (3 batteries), and her off/on transitions were much smoother with less head jerking.

I also made some jumpers to mount the 14 amp hour batteries in there, and cut out the plates that hold the smaller 4 Ahr one in place. Big battery fits, and last much longer.

Lots of fun with saw, soldering iron and such, and not one minute of it spent trying to make the Miata faster.

I did get my copy of Grassroots Motorsports yesterday...looks like somebody started a subscription for me. It's a good first issue too...has a Miata on the cover.

Great gift though. I'm jealous.

You'll love Grassroots too.

Love Seecamps, I'd probably go with a Keltec for the weight savings since it'd be a pocket gun for me, but Seecamp is definitely a classic. .32 Silvertips aren't too shabby either, they'll ruin your day from arm's length. I bought my wife a gun for Christmas last year (old model Ruger Bearcat .22)...they are great gifts.

Does anyone subscribe to the sister mag to Grassroots? Classic Motorsports, something like that? Is it worthwhile? Love Grassroots, it and C&D are the only subscriptions I've got right now.
