oh man you dont know the half of it. if you saw what kind of money kids spend to complete the "JDM" look on their honda's you'd have a heart attack

elesjuan 12-26-2008 10:04 PM

I Think I'm about to die.

Really, honestly speechless.

There is something I missed in that picture teh first like three times I looked at it. I was in such a state of laughter that some dumb schmuck is spending that much on a worthless pile of shit like that, I COMPLETELY Missed the most important part of that plate!

IT WAS MADE IN FUCKING AMERICA!! HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW THE FUCK is it "JDM" if it was MADE HERE>??!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?

18psi 12-26-2008 10:06 PM

they have all sorts of weird shit they do to their cars. I wont even try to understand it...

maybe its a guy in japan converting to usdm? HAHAHAHH:D

johnwag 12-26-2008 10:13 PM

Japanese writing makes it JDM.....of course.

So does a japanese tattoo make someone JDM?

This is the reason I bought a Miata. I have built some very nice Hondas that most people consider rice just because of dumbasses who can not afford anything but cheap knock-off parts that have no relevancy improving a cars power, handling, or looks.

Well, starting bid was $99.99 and there were at least 2 people going after it so it must be a relatively hot item.

JDM isn't my cup o' tea but hey, to each his own.

The VW scene had a trade ring with europe for a while. They exchanged bumpers and turn signals and shit so it only cost shipping. The euro bumpers were far superior to the American ones though, so it made sense until someone realized that you could spray bedliner on the tops of the american bumpers for the european textured top...then the ring died.
I still have a powerful lust for OZ Futuras though...I'd love a set for the miata:

Let me push up my JDM nerd glasses and explain - Market has nothing to do with where a product was made and everything to do with where it is to be sold. Many USDM cars are made in Japan, Mexico, Korea, etc. but are still USDM. There is at least one Chevy which is made in America and sold in Japan, and therefore JDM.

Anyway, yes it is stupid, I'm surprised people are still into it. I'm a supermod on a JDM forum and even the admins are over the whole JDM thing it seems. Now everybody's just trying to make fun, fast cars. More my scene anyway.
