Default Thoughts on a BMW i135?

Have any of you guys looked at the BMW 135?

The looks are nothing to get excited about, but the idea of the turbo-six motor in a small chassis is appealing.

At the last dyno day I went to, the 135i that was there put down 420hp and nearly 500 ft-lbs of torque with very minor mods. I was impressed.

Its AWESOME.
The turbo6 is sweet, and becomes a total torque monster with a reflash and exhaust.

Though the 335 looks so much better and the weight gain is so small I'd just get one of those.

not too mention the 335 is probably easier to drive and more stable because of the longer wheelbase

Yeah, but the price delta is pretty steep on the 335. If you are gonna put down for the 335, it's only a short hop to the M3... and that's where I really want to be.

I need a pretty sick liquidity event to justify an M3.

Absolutely amazing! A friend of mine had one, reflash and catless dp were the only mods, quite probably the fastest car I have ridden in/driven. Easily the best handling, plus it has nav, leather, etc. The steering feel was just amazing, better than his old E36 M3. I'd have one in a heartbeat if I had the liquidity.

I think they look awesome. I like the short stubby look and the performance speaks for itself.

I heard the direct injection likes to stop working on those twinturbo 6's? They went to a single turbo on the new ones. This is something the CEO of my company said one day while getting coffee.

No LSD exists for either car. Good luck with that.

The 135i and the 335i weigh about the same...don't be fooled by the appearance of looking "small"...it's still pretty heavy.
I've had to remind a few of them that there are faster cars out there

Yeah, I've heard about this problem. It's a high pressure fuel pump that looks like it's engine mounted. They bork pretty regularly. It got bad enough that they stuck a 100k warranty on the pump.

The interesting thing is that the single turbo engine they switched to uses the same pump.

My fantasy is to buy one with euro delivery, pick it up in the winter and shoot up to Austria or the Swiss alps for a couple days.
