It's never a good idea to put a logical contstraint on something illogical, like magical prayers. He's going to have a tough time doing the lord's work if he's losing games.
What's funny is that I live in the most conservative, evangelical corner of the country, and I'm still proselytized way more by militant atheists than I am by Christians, Mormons, and Jehovah's Witnesses combined. |

If it's all imaginary, then it shouldn't matter one way or another. Same as some random NFL player reading his horoscope, or wearing lucky socks on game day, or doing Zen meditation to become one with the universe, or whatever. But apparently only one of those things is worthy of mockery.

In high school... Tebow getting a W was an excused absence from class. The guy is alright with me.

Someone today made a good point. He prays when he is doing well, but when he loses or makes a shit play, he doesn't pray. If his faith is as strong as he claims, he should pray all of the time, especially when doing poorly. Way to be one sided. He only does it for the attention/the show.

Ya'll sure know a lot about the private thoughts and motivations of Tim Tebow.

Yes, every example you listed is worthy of mockery. There are no militant atheists in here. Success in prayer by definition is coincidence, and if he's losing no one will care anymore. Relax.

Scored at TD in high school with a broken leg. True story.

Tebow certainly does not relate to everyone, but I have to respect him for being so dedicated in his beliefs. I wonder if he will tone it down a little. He does do things that make him douchey, and it drives me crazy. He is not the first big name athlete to be a devoted Christian.
Man has talent, you have to give him that. Can't wait to see how he performs in the coming years. |

They are not for everyone, but Miata people do not deserve to be put in the same category of Islamic murderers. |
Fair enough, I just read "dedicated to beliefs" and couldn't resist, not really trying to liken Tebow to Islamic fundamentalism or Popes gone wild. I'm downright nice compared to a couple of other members here when it comes to this stuff.

omg an atheist that's deicated to his beliefs, complaining about another person's...never seen that before.
