Well my 15 days of being back in the states has been great... It's time to head back and kick *** for another 6 or so months. Really sucks going back, mostly because 96 hours of travel just BLOWS.

 

Lame. Gotta do what ya gotta do right?

 

Yep, the first 6 months in Afghanistan went by quick.. so I am hoping the next 6 do as well

 

Shoot man, we might end up in North Korea before too long with all that tension over there.

 

Doubtful. However, if we do, they won't be pulling folks out of Afghanistan.

FRT - It must suck having to go back, luckily when I went over it was just to Kuwait, and only for 6 months (though I left a 3-week old daughter when I went, but that's neither here nor there) so I can't relate to what it must be like to have to go back to AFG after being home awhile. Hope you had fun, drank a few beers, and had an overall enjoyable time in the states. Keep your head down and don't forget your pink I*heart*NY boxers!

I can relate, however, to the long *** trip. Plenty of "hurry up and wait" and lots of flying.
