Today's Craigslist Acquisition

Today was my day off, so I was whoring for parts on craigslist as usual when I found two momo seats w/ cushions for 100/each. Bingo.

Now ...should I give scott my old ones for free.. or use them as interior furniture? haha.

karter74 06-22-2007 07:08 PM

All I can say is, I am jealous!

Pitlab77 06-22-2007 07:30 PM

make them into GT race seats :)

neogenesis2004 06-22-2007 09:15 PM

I seriously hate you man, fuck...

you should give me one, and give scott the other one :P

EDIT: on second thought, if they aren't wide then my fat ass wouldn't fit.

I had a deal like that around january, guy backed out saying the cat pissed all over them. Might have been a good thing. Oh well. Two of those momos exactly like the ones you have, i was pissed.

nice work B. now find some Bride rails...

Braineack 06-23-2007 11:42 AM

Retail is $299 each, I think it's a fair deal. I should be able to get the Sparco Sprints for $225 or so, but still that deal is badass....so many seats in our area on craigslist for a good price.

Savington 06-23-2007 12:21 PM

Fucker. I paid $630 for two brand new ones shipped to my door. :(

TurboTim 06-23-2007 11:13 PM

DAMN very good find. Nice job.

Fergus 06-23-2007 11:16 PM

What's this 'craigslist' thing about ?

hustler 06-24-2007 01:03 AM

Man, they're worth it EVERYWHERE. I absolutely LOVE my race seats.

cjernigan 06-24-2007 05:16 AM

What do you guys think. I'm 6'2-6'3 with a 32" waist (seat width), only wear a 34" inseam though so my legs aren't super long. I actually like the miata seat tipped up a bit and a click forward from the furthest position back.

Think the start would be a good seat for me if bolted on the floor (like savington) to get head clearance with the tallest rollbar possible?

shinobix 06-24-2007 06:02 AM

im 6" 32-34" waist and rock a recaro spg-profi. fits liek a glove, but i had the problem with my helmet hitting the hardtop, so i bolted the seat directly to the floor.

www.craigslist.org
mostly free grassroots classified ads.

neogenesis2004 06-24-2007 10:08 AM

Other than forums its where you find the best deals, for sure.

Fergus 06-25-2007 01:59 PM

Well... I learnt something new today thank you teacher :)
Gotta check it out now.

Newbsauce 06-25-2007 03:15 PM

Ah screw rails, I'll just make them fit to OEM rails most likely. I did that with my previous seats. As far as fitment, for those of you that have seen me, I'm kind of a thick chested frame 5'8 190ish lbs. I bought these without considering that fact. I took them home and sat in them, and pretty much could not get out. The waist and leg fit is great, and they are comfortable, except for the fact it feels like I have two fists stuck in my lats (the upper back muscles).
