Default Top Gear America (possible spoilers to come)

Anyone planning on watching this? Got the DVR set, will probably watch it as it airs. Just checked up on the hosts a bit. Ive heard of Tanner, apparently hes pretty good in Formula D. Ive heard of the Ferrera dude as well, but I dont really know anything about him. The third guy I have no clue who he is. Wiki says hes a racing analyst for Speed.

10 more minutes. It will FAIL. I've seen enough dumb commercials to not want to watch it, and that's coming from someone who really wants to watch it.

The chopper chase is entertaining. They must have paid the city a TON of money to perform that segment.

it's not terrible, but kinda weird to watch.

"we're the only 2 dudes in a red convertible right now"

Hm. The scene in the car wash with Tanner describing the Viper was kind of awkward.

Yea, the scripting is weak, but let's give it a chance. Adam Carolla would have been a great commentator.

Geezus, they copies the BBC show verbatim.

except the first commercial was a Benz commercial. exactly why Leno didnt want to do the show. there will be too much outside influence from companies... And they dont have the uber-large BBC to back them up and allow them to do absolutely outrageous things without thinking about laws or expenses .

I am still enjoying the tire smoke.

Half way done and i'm like.....meh

Stupid idea of putting the ACR as a "bench mark", it's should stay for a looooong time.

But seriously, it's scripted beyong belief. I mean come on...Big Star, Small Car? The Stig? Where is the originality?

The cinematography in the original series was one of my favorite aspects. The new one....meh.

EDIT: Hahahahaha...same coffee table!

I'm missing the Walking Dead for this. I hope it improves.

I say swap out random entertainers, unscripted, and let the tires fly. You'd never know who'd be on the show, you'd never know what someone would say.

The problem is aside from Faust, these guys aren't too interesting yet. Buzz Aldrin...um, terrible guest, maybe the worst TV guest I've seen.

The bearded dude is decent on camera, probably the best. The mole guy, he needs to go.

Well, that's what Foust is known for, and it doesn't seem like the other 2 are automotive experts.
