Turbo Advice(landcruiser)

So I believe I have officialy caught the boost bug. I cant even look at any of my friend's cars without thinking about how to boost them.

My friend/mechanic just bought a 91 landcruiser(fj80?). Man that bitch is slow. He is going to find a proper jdm(or any other market than usdm) transfer case and 5speed, but he also wants to turbo, and I probably know more about that subject than him due to my endless amounts of time trolling around here.

I was wondering what you guys think we should do. I looked around on forums and only found shit for diesels. The only kit I could find for the motor(I belive its a 4.3 inline six) is the avo kit, which is stupid expensive.

So, what do you guys think would be a good turbo for this bitch(can I find a big enough chinacharger?) Will probably be doing some type of diy manifold and dp.

also I think the fuel system should be compatible with a rising rate fpr because it has a return line, but is this a good way to go for a goal of 8psi with an intercooler(probably top mount), or should I try to hook up my emb, or possibly my emu that I am getting soon and go the piggyback route?

thanks in advance for any help

why not take the opportunity of having a large motor capable of spooling and do a remote mount turbo system? Granted, It'd be much better suited for something in a V configuration, but it seems like a good candidate to me.

This should make it possible to move costs from "manifold" and place them instead on the fabrication of the turbo mounting and the return pipes.

Just another option, one not generally considered.
