Absolutely, they add like 50HP!!!

In reality, just don't beat the **** out of it then turn it off and leave it, more so on non water cooled turbos. If everything in relation to feed and drain is set up correctly, there wouldn't even be a problem with just shutting it off hot, really. Especially with good oil. So no, not worth it, and I have never used one on any of my turbo cars.

Craig,

When I take my boosted miata to work I usually go full throttle once I have turned on Battleview and don't let up until I am past the building you work in. I then promptly proceed to turn into our parking lot and give my car about 10 seconds cool down and then turn it off. Never had a problem doing it that way and have been doing it since 07.

Love your sig, btw. I love that episode. I learned some of my smoothest pickup lines from Hand Banana. "Tonight... you." Always works, the mace in the eyes is optional.

Frylock: C'mon Carl, he's hasn't even been here one day! How could he possibly learn the English language?
Handbanana: See? All I know is "ball", and "good"...
Handbanana: ...AND "RAPE".

I usually let it idle for 10-15 seconds after romping on it before I shut it off. Works like a charm

Considering i don't floor it through parking lots, or before i park, i have never worried about one, and probably never will. But i have a megahellabad-a-jdm sard one here for 40 if you want it.
