I dont know if i'd be more worried about the fact that :

It's getting a PCPro

Tom said there was a problem with the fuel [or the PCPro!!]

Tom was glad the car had good brakes.

I would be worried about all three.

Stein 05-01-2008 04:39 PM

That's exactly what I want to hear when I am half a world away:

"There was a problem..."

Braineack 05-01-2008 05:43 PM

building kits that are highly dependent on a good tank of gas, again, a sign of a good tuner.

bryantaylor 05-01-2008 05:48 PM

HAHAHAHAHA at markp

yes sir would wreck my vacation

BenR 05-01-2008 06:37 PM

So he drove to Tuscon and back to empty the tank on a car that has serious knock issues?

Why didn't he just jumper the fuel pump and disconnect a fuel line, then drain it into a pan?

Joe Perez 05-01-2008 06:37 PM

I held my mouth for a while, but Tom's last one was too enticing to resist.

edit- BenR, you predicted my response exactly. :bigtu:

As I was responding, I actually thought about that. I feel kinda guilty for giving the poor guy anxiety while he's overseas, but the end justifies the means...

I'm guessing thread pruning in 3... 2...

This one was left wide open for ridicule. I must say I am pleased to see how members of this forum kept the comments constructive on how there may have been better ways to do this.

Unfortunately, some always feel the need to start an old war that adds no value.

Ya know, you can be part of a solution or part of a problem. It is clear which path you chose. :jerkit:

TonyV 05-01-2008 09:41 PM

""You paid for the dyno time, you paid for the replacement gas for the car, you spent your time test driving the car to make sure there was no other issues, Tom, just what the heck were you thinking???

I'm warning you right now Tom, you pay for one more thing and that's it! I'm taking my business elsewhere!""

He might be paying for a whoooole lot more real soon....

Did Tom say he let the guy stay at his house??? Lol...
All kits now come with an all night lesson of yo-yo tricks as well!!!

You know, dick suckin steve has always been a asshole and is by default....obviously part of the problem. This is 100% a fact :fawk:

Go dive for dick....:hustler:

Business must be kind of slow if Tom can spend that much time on one standard customer’s car. And what kind of serious shop drives their customer’s cars around like that? What about company cars? They should have a couple of nice Miatas with Toms own supercharger system installed so that… Never mind, I see why they drive the customers cars.

"I'm really looking forward to drive it home on Monday! :-)"
Hope you got road assistance, buddy!

Joe Perez 05-05-2008 07:06 PM

Been strangely quiet over there the past few days. Not a peep out of Mike T, and nothing relevant from Tom...

spike 05-05-2008 07:38 PM

The engine probably blew and now they are spending all their time rebuilding it.

204 WHP with AFR that looks pretty good.

I wonder what the AIT looks like though.

Ben 05-05-2008 08:24 PM

63 pulls to tune a basic fuel piggy?? That's probably 3-4x how many pulls it took to tune my standalone for both fuel and spark :jerkit:

socal pat 05-05-2008 09:05 PM

Even Mark P understands that the diagnosis of the electric issues account for a good part of those runs. Sorry to dissapoint you Spike, but the car runs great.

It runs great.......for now.

Post a update when the engine blows and Tom makes up some bullshit excuse on why it killed itself.......cause you know it's not his fault.

Why would you think this car will blow up when there are over 200 kits out there running fine? As long as he doesn't do like me and raise the boost by 5psi without some additional tuning, and keep driving when he hears ping, he'll be fine.

spike 05-06-2008 12:15 PM

^why do I think his car will blow up? Look at Tom's track record and see for yourself.

klutchmaster 05-07-2008 05:46 PM

I'm always surprised to see how stooopid people can be.
