Default Borderlands on XBox 360

I rarely play games but I just "downgraded" the DVD firmware on one of my 360's and started playing Borderlands. It's really not that bad. I'm getting a little tired of the "hit X to pick up $$$" thing but the rest of it isn't shitty. If you guys want to kill a couple of weeks sitting in front of the TV/Monitor this could be for you...

I have been playing it on the pc for a little, I can get into it for like a hour long burst or so. Not bad, but not amazing either.

Nobody really makes any good, play for 12 hours straight, kind of games. Looks like one I might give a chance. Only games in the next 6 months I have to have are Assassins Creed 2 (already out) and FFXIII, haven't missed one since 7, so why stop now.

FWIW, I solve the game the other day (took about 10 days to do it) and I'm now doing it again. You get to start over but keep your same weapons and $$$/exp. The monsters and stuff are a lot harder the second time around. I'm not sure I will play all the way through but it was fun enough to keep on playing.

For me, a rapid fire pistol (with a chance to catch the enemy on fire) with a scope was the best weapon to use. I'm not sure where I got the gun from but it definitely made the difference between winning and dying in battle with the big guys. I didn't start using that pistol until the last 5% of the game but I am glad I did. Kind of just stumbled onto the fact that it kicked ***...

I sure can get stuck with dragon age: origins. Baldurs gate'ish game FTW!

Border world on the way

Gearbox files trademark for familiar-sounding 'Borderworlds'

My wife and I played through and beat Borderlands. Fun game. There's now some DLC for it that you get to go to Dr. Ned's zombie Island. Supposed to be about another 10+ hours of play for about 12 bucks.
Assasains Creed 2 was a badass game. I hated the first one but this one is just amazing. The ending was really good too.
Oh if anyone has a Wii check out the new Super Mario Bros, Wii. If you played the Mario Bros' back on NES you'll love this new one.
