So whats the deal with this?! :hustler: I cant upload videos online without the music track being taken out or the video just being completely blocked.
I'm trying to launch a website, but with out any videos it just wont work. Should I be changing file names? Is there some way around it? Or do I just try and get rights for that specific song to use? I'm hoping some of you guys know whats up with this. The random span of knowledge on this board is amazing. :makeout: |
i assume you're putting things on youtube.

A few of my videos with music on top of it have been removed from the net over the past few weeks. When you find out what the deal is, let me know!

I was more or less trying those places first just to help promote the website. Now I'm wondering if I'm gonna run into trouble if I upload the videos with music on my own .com.....? |

Yeah, YT and MS have become quite the video Nazi Buzzkillers with videos and music. I hear Vimeo or whatever it is, is a good site. Could always try streetfire if it's got car content.
I'd like to know how the hell they verify if you got permission to use xyz song and on top of that , I bet labels want an arm and a leg for permission even if you're not making a video for any other purpose other than to put on YT/MS/whatever. |
Do you have the bandwidth to host the videos yourself?
If so, check out this software: JwPlayer (its a flv player) LongTail Video | Home of the JW Player and then get FFMpeg or some other program to convert your videos to flv (flash video) format. You will fly under the radar infinitely longer if you host them yourself, if not forever. Is this site about your longboarding stuff? Those vids are always awesome to watch! |

Yea, I was wondering that too. They talk about getting verified that you have permission. I wonder what will happen if I just click the link that says "yes, i have permission". :dunno: |

Yep, it is indeed the longboarding! We've taken it to the next level as far as riding goes. So now I feel comfortable throwing some trailers together to prep for the website launch. I'm hoping to get a good response from them and hopefully start getting a group to come out with us to bomb the hills. We're going to start competing and want to put our names out there for some sponsors and see what happens. |
I'm not sure how popular vimeo is, but they seem to have a good amount of content already. I'll give this trailer some time and depending on hits and responses that should motivate me to get some others done.
Just sucks cause I'd really like to whore them out on youtube and myspace as well. Trailer #1 for longboardable.com on Vimeo |
