My understanding is that Accelerated's build is much more R&D oriented. He built the piping and exhaust with the intention of fitting everything with zero cutting, stock fuel, etc. I believe he left the clutch "just to see."
IIRC, he said he put about 200 dyno pulls, 800 miles and a lot of street passes before it finally gave up the ghost on a drag launch.

I get it. I didn't know they had intentions beyond "lets make a boatload of power".
cuz **** man, I put in a 400 ft-lb capable twin plate clutch about 18 months before increasing beyond stock power levels.

So, I am pretty confident that the Spec Miata track record at Roebling is a 1:21.1. Jon Miller drove his FR-S from Orlando to RRR and back, swapped wheels and tires (Hoosier R6es I am pretty sure) and ran a 1:20.x. Not too shabby?

A) Faster than my car, pal. Spec Miata.
B) Some GT3s out there that weekend were running high 1:17s.
C) A guy I know with a well-prepped and very well-driven MX-2000 track car ran a 1:16.6 coasting down part of the front straight due to dB restrictions.

Just because you can drive a slow car fast, does not make them fast. It means the driver was able to overcome the governing body that forces them to be slow turds using old methods of slowness.
