Default My Epic Fail (Photos)

Went to a meet Thursday in Dulles, and brought my new camera. Got a little excited after producing pics like this:

and thought I might be able to produce some good car pics. Fail. I suck at night shots, and they all turned out blurry/grainy. Seriously I might as well have used a camera phone. If anyone can tell me what I did wrong (settings wise) let me know. Anyway here's my shots.

The first three of the car shot from the front have a ISO thats too high, thats why its grainy. they look over exposed too, probably because you were shooting on auto and the camera couldnt figure out exactly how much light your headlights put out. The remainder are better because those are just easy as hell to get right on auto including the last one with the flash.

Thats my assessment. I could be wrong.

Try longer shutter speed, smaller F stop and a tripod. And shoot raw for the upper hand in post processing after the shot- a lot can be done.

Tripod or other steady mount will help a lot all by itself.

tripod goes without saying. you can't get a long exposure without one. similarly, when you use the tripod for long exposures, use the self timer so you dont get your hand shaking the ****.

Damn that's pretty funny. In Reading, PA, where I'm from.. I think the problem is not lack of girls, its lack of girls that do not weigh more then guys.
