Just wanted to share my new project!1990 Subaru Legacy 5speed awd. Turns out someone put some freakin sealant into the engine and it needs to be replaced. Picked it up for $500 with $300 in back taxes :D

Kickass subaru, I love these old leggos. It looks like you are jumping in head first, which is how i built my subie :giggle:.
A turbo swap would be AWESOME, but make sure you do your research as it's no simple task. You might be better off finding one of the various motors that WILL swap right in and be controlled by the OEM ecu. If it's a SOHC (i'm not well versed in those 90's legacys), you can stick with any newer SOHC motor (2.2 or 2.5) and get it running that way. |
Congrats on buying a $500 car for $800 with a blown motor. Otoh I'm in for Subaru hoonage, continue on.

That said, I built my 99 forester with a 07 ej253 and brand new hg/timing/wp stuffs for sub ~$1200 :giggle: |
