How about your cable company continually upgrading your downstream speeds (I think I'm at 6000-8000kbs) while reducing your upstream bandwidth (began at 768kbs, downgraded to 512, downgraded to 256...this, over the course of the past 6 years)?

And I have to pay for it :D

From Hawaii to San Francisco on RoadRunner cable. Grandparents setup, no idea what speed connection they pay for.

for real. At the moment, clerical/front desk stuff with a little cataloging of new books. I'm actually working on a masters in library science to be a librarian. Don't know what kind of library I'll end up in, law, university, public, or museum. The plan is either stick with this track and have a relatively stress free job that pays decently or go to law school after this degree, make lots of money for a lot more stress.
I made a lot of costly (money and GPA) mistakes in undergrad so I figured I'd do well on a grad degree that was relative to where I was working already and see what I want to do from there.

Pretty much, he's a contractor in Iraq. My connection in Kuwait was about like that, but the meter doesn't show how damn unreliable that connection was.

Yea satellite internet sucks, especially when you share it with 20 other people. But it's better than waiting in line at the MWR.
