I miss my dachshund. Poor old pup :( Best dog I've ever had.

Perhaps now they'll stop breeding them to be long and have back/hip problems. Instead they'll have to breed them to be shorter so they're more competitive.

 

We had a few dachsunds when I was a kid, they are indeed awesome dogs.

My wife and I have a Black/Tan mini, he's pretty awesome.

 

Got a lead on a dapple, may or may not proceed with that. I hear she isn't cooperating w/ potty training. Gorgeous though... jeez!

 

I have a 14 year old. She still runs around like a puppy

 

I grew up with a black and tan, and then a wire haired. The wire haired's nick name was land shark. Average Dachshund size, but thought he was a German Shepard. Very loving to family, but all teeth to strangers. Ornery little cuss lived to be 15.
