Default The coolest car ever made.

Seriously, what is it? Not the fastest, or the best handling, or the sexiest-looking, but the downright coolest? The car that, if James Dean, Henry Winkler and Clint Eastwood had a baby, that kid would drive when he turned 16.

Obviously I don't expect consensus, here. In fact, most of you are wrong, since the coolest car ever made is obviously the VW Karmann Ghia. Think of this an an anarchist version of the TG Cool Wall. All opinions are equal, though of course mine is more equal than yours.

There's going to be a 5th gen Viper in 2012 and I hope it kicks the ZR1's butt.

Suck on this. This is from the SEMA show. It's a Volvo P1800 like in the TV show "The Saint" that starred Roger Moore in the 60's. I have dreams of a car like this. This particular model has a 2.3 liter Ford 4 cylinder turbo as the Mustang SVO and Thunderbird turbo coupe's used.

Now that is a fairly cool car. I don't much care for what the owner's done with that particular one, but they're excellent for tooling around in while wearing a baker-boy cap and a tweed blazer with leather patches on the elbows, smoking a pipe, and just generally being awesome.

Joe...I'm waiting for your opinion about the p1800. The karmann ghia is from the same era, so let's hear it.

Lambo....gay. I mean how 1980's cannonball run is that? Viper...can suck deez nuts. Bug eye sprite? I've always liked the English roadsters, but I like the non bugeye sprites better. My favorite English little car is a pre '70 triumph spitfire.

I argue that this, the Shelby Daytona Coupe is the coolest car ever made:

Largely because this car had such fury it made Enzo Ferrari himself use his political clout to cancel an Italian championship race so that Shelby had no chance of getting enough points to beat Ferrari in the 60's.

Also, Jaguar XK120's are full of win:
