So I'm going to Boston from Thursday to Sunday with the SO and her parents.

What is there to do in Boston or in the area?

We are already doing something in Salem on Halloween, but that's about it so far.

I lived there for six years (96-97, 00-04) .... there is a LOT to do .... what are your interests?

Tourist stuff: Quincy Market, Harvard Square (across the river in Cambridge), Back Bay, North End.

Being a car guy, you might want to visit the Museum of Transportation, in Brookline (neighbors Boston to the southwest).

The whole city is very walkable and safe. Decent subway and lots of colleges.
