I'm currently an undergraduate majoring in Computer Engineering at VA Tech. I'm currently involved in undergraduate research to get my foot in the door for graduate school. If you get a research position while in grad school then they pay for your tutition and you get a $600/2weeks stipend. Right now I think I want to get into some sort of embedded system design, but I'm not sure completely. I also would like to eventually get a phd in computer engineering and become a research engineer.
As of right now I work on campus washing dishes for $7.75/hr when I can. Next semester I'm going to have to bum grocery money off the MOM because I'll be taking 19 credit hours of engineering classes. This summer I'll be working on a research project sponsored by the NSF that I will be more involved in than normal. Then I hope to get a nice internship or Co-op in the next year or so. |
