pretty much what 240 said: dbw maps dictate what torque you want, and after pinpointing it on the map of rpm vs throttle input, determine where you are on the spark and fuel map. the info is pre-determined in unison vs just the car reacting to tps and map then figuring out where you are on the maps, like our megasquirts do.
