Ben, I love you man, but the last thing this forum needs is to start with the bullshit political posts that most forums BS sections seem to be dominated with. It wouldn't bother me a bit if we just didn't allow any politically oriented threads... or maybe we could have a seperate Politics Only thread or seperate forum where people can bash their heads against each other and not bother the rest of us. I don't mind the odd post within a thread, but I really don't think the forum needs threads like this.

Just my .02cents.

Sorry guys, the point is not whether somebody thinks it's funny.
Personally, I don't want to see **** like this when I click on a thread. Call me a little sensitive, but consider what I do for a living and take it from there. If you've got any questions, check out the Officers Oath of Enlistment.

Ben, my ire isn't directed at you, but simply that the BS forum doesn't need politics. I've seen other posts and a few other threads and simply stayed out of them... but the forum is growing leaps and bounds in membership and participation and I want the BS section to be kept "pure" and not tainted with the stench of politics.

Most other forums have a POLITICAL section where people can talk **** and spread their propaganda and make the world a worse place in as loud a voice as the internet can carry. We all know nobody ever convinces anybody of anything over the internet and it's a waste of typing, but some people get off on it and think others actually care.

Maybe we can set aside a little forum bandwidth for something like that... but if that's not in the cards, then my vote is for no politically oriented threads of any kind.

And hey... it's ME talking here... I love this forum. I spend as much time here as I do driving the car, so if my opinion counts, you know where I stand.

It's not really a political thread. The only thing that makes it remotely politcal is who it is. I understand your point about political threads that end with nothing accomplished, but this is just a joke that all should be able to get a laugh out of and not need to discuss politics.

BS, I retired from the military 3 years ago and I still work for the federal government. The joke posted in this thread and others like it circulate around work emails and it's just that, a Joke. Not politics.
