What wireless keyboard do you use?

I have a computer set up as a media station and attached to my TV, with a wireless keyboard and trackball to use while on the couch. The keyboard is an Arteck cheapie, and the problem is that it won't communicate with the computer if absolutely anything is in its line of sight. I had to move the little dongle to a USB port on the front of the case, and if I even shift on the couch so my knee or the arm of the sofa is in the line of sight, it stops working completely. My position on the couch is 9-10 feet from the computer. I'd like to get something that will actually work no matter what position it's in, it's frustrating to be typing and suddenly have the keyboard stop responding mid sentence because you put one leg up on the L-shaped sofa and now your foot is impeding its signal.

Any wireless keyboard recommendations?

Had one for a couple years on a computer attached to a TV. It's fantastic.

Interesting! I never even considered something other than a full-size keyboard. You move the mouse cursor with the arrow keys? Seems like a mini track pad or analog stick would have been a good move. Still, I like the form factor a lot.

Nope the remote has a gyro in it. You move the cursor by moving/slightly rotating the entire remote.

That's really cool. I'm going to pick one of those up. Thanks for the recommendation!

My use case seems similar. Navigate windows well enough to start a YouTube video or navigate windows explorer to select a video I've downloaded. My requirement has been 10-15 ft clear line of site. I also utilize the IR functionality to control a sound bar. It's been trouble free since setup 2+ years ago. It is pretty battery hungry. I've been running eneloops and recharge every couple of months.

Got a cheap 20$CAD combo of wireless keyboard and mouse. Simply work the mouse on the sofa arm or on my leg. Has been working for 5 years, now.

Can you share a picture of the keyboard and mouse? Thanks in advance

I have a Logitech G613 and really like it as an all around use keyboard.
