Why is this crap so damn expensive?
 

I just priced out fittings and hoses for oil and water as cheap as possible with none of the flashy AN to AN fittings and it came to 168 dollars.

Why is this crap so damn expensive, its just tiny metal bits and rubber. The prices seam unreal.

I am still trying to get my shit for free, but if it doesnt pan out thats quite a penny to drop on this stuff alone.

When i did a feed assembly for a 1.6, including the super expensive block fitting it was like $60 including shipping. That included swivel fittings which are big money compared to straight ones, i consider them worth the extra coin.
What are you using for your drain? $168 seems too much, but considering if you're using all braided line then you'll never have to worry about it again.

Post your parts list and we can help you outsource stuff cheaper, or substitute things you do or don't need.

Stop looking online. Find your local hydraulic/rubber supply store.

+1 on going local as well. That'll save you $10 at the minimum in shipping. My drain assembly was $12 with 10% TN tax FTMFL. Including 2 fittings and 2' of high temp silicone hose.

OIL:
3AN to 1/8 NPT fitting
3AN steel braided hose with hose ends – 47 inches
3AN 90deg fitting or 45deg
1/4" inverted flare to 3AN male to male fitting

Water:
14mm Banjo Fittings with 3/8inch barb
3/8” internal diameter high temperature water line 2 feet

Drain:

5/8 inch internal diameter hose 2 feet
5/8" Flare oil return flange from ATP + gasket
1/2"NPT to 5/8" Flare fitting

I have been searching around NY and I cant find a store. Hell, I am lost on how to even search, maybe im calling the store by the wrong name.

I recommend getting hardline and compression adapters for your coolant lines instead. 3/8" stainless hardline to get your coolant line away from the turbo will save headache and relieve some cost in bajo fittings. Get one end of the hardline bead rolled so you can slip the coolant hose on the end and clamp it. The comp fittings are like $1.80 a piece and the hardline is $5 a foot max.

I dont know what compression adapter are, I have never seen any.

Actually, what I am in the process of doing is finding the coolant hardlines that come factory on the turbo to which I can slip hose onto. What I really need is a nice nissan forum to go ask for part numbers.

As for the rest of the stuff, if you basket it on atp turbo it comes to 160+.

That's why you don't buy the stuff from ATP like that. The stuff you buy from ATP is the stuff you can't get anywhere else, unless WOT has the total hookup.
ANplumbing is more affordable for most things hydraulic, local is even better. Call and ask if they even have stainless braided line.

Compression fittings are kind of like this. Slightly different than what i was talking about, same concept though.

Called a few of the places. One is not a hydraulic store, one is out of business. One has only JIC stuff. Which it turns out is just AN but in Steel instead of Aluminum. The guy is gonna send me a catalog of what he has.

Yes, you will just want to use all JIC fittings.
They might be more expensive. It would be better for you to just tell him what you want and get prices that way. Who has time to wait for a catalog these days?
