Windows 7 Annoying flashing fix.
2 Attachment(s)
Windows has the annoying refresh thingy that always seems to make the screen flash (most noticeable while browsing the internet). It almost looks like it wants to go to desktop for an instant then back to the program. It was driving me nuts so i found this solution. Eliminated the flashing. Make a .reg file with this line of code and then run it. Or use the file I made. Of course please use at ur own risk as every windows installation is...unstable in its own ways. :jerkit:
REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop] "WaitToKillAppTimeout"="5000" "HungAppTimeout"="5000" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Cur-rentControlSet\Control] "WaitToKillServiceTimeout"="5000" [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop] "WaitToKillAppTimeout"="5000" "HungAppTimeout"="5000" Forum wouldnt let me upload it unless i zipped it. |

Were you leaving your cursor over the little "Desktop Preview" thing right of the clock on the Taskbar? I do not have this issue you speak of, but that little thing will get me sometimes.
|
The desktop preview goes full time to desktop. No the flashing acts like desktop preview but for an instant and the mouse is no where near it. I have 3 monitors and usually have a browser open on one of them and it would flash even though i'm say playing a game on the middle one or whatever.
|
Ah. I also run three monitors and I've figured out what you're doing wrong. You aren't playing the game an all three. I can't game on just one anymore after having 180 degree FOV.
|
Not all games support it. A lot of times i'm not playing attention to the game fully since theres waiting time and so forth. Half the time i'm on the forums or chatting with people.
