I hate baseball, but am glad that new episodes of Bones and Fringe have not been on. How do you watch that crap man?

Well yeah, I realize this. And we'd already cleared the nastiness out of IAH, so it was pretty smooth sailing. I was referring more to the fine folks at ATC. Lotta airplanes up there to keep separated. (And yes, I realize these were the en route controllers and not TRACON.)

Lev, let me know if you ever travel up here in the fall/winter; my family owns Giants season tickets and we often have extras.

I stopped giving a damn about baseball when they went on strike. And my attention span is way to short for it anymore.

I actually don't care much for activities that others are involved in. Spectating isn't as interesting to me as actually doing something with my own life. I don't need to identify with some team or athlete like some (but not all) fans do to add a sense of worth and belonging to my psyche. I feel sorry for the guys who spend all weekend watching complete strangers live out their dreams while they accomplish nothing in their own lives. It's pretty sad for some of them.

I liken it to spending the whole weekend in your mom's basement playing World of Warcraft instead of living a little.

Has nothing to do with not understanding the game. Its just plain boring as hell to watch. Its right up there with golf on my list of boring sports to watch. Watching badminton at the Olympics is more fun than watching baseball.

it's boring to watch because you're not picking up the little things and you're not seeing anything going on beyond the play

You mean like being on a forum for 12 months and already having 1,388 posts, thereby averaging 115 posts per month? Such a person really need to get away from the screen and go live a little. Yeesh.

I will for sure take you up on that.

As for people not liking baseball, it is my opinion that unless you are born into a family that likes Baseball and are raised that way than that's the only way you become a fan of it. I highly doubt that someone could all of a sudden like it.

Nick, I had to live in Boston for 4 years ..... but that was before the 2004 postseason. So no matter what they said, I could succinctly respond, "1918! 1918!"

That's only a .260 winning percentage. Not so good.

I hope we do better this century!

I see why Artie and those that really know you love you so much. You are quite endearing.

I'm rarely on the forum on my own time. I'm driving on the interstate for work right now, in fact. My life after work is filled with activities that typically don't include forums or television.

Start living instead of watching. Unless you are into voyeurism, in which case watching is the activity. I'd give you a pass for that.
