I just found a red one for $2,900 here with 100K and looks cleaner than mine. Just gotta figure things out. I dont want to call the insurance company and ask "hypothetical" questions and then have them come out and total it without me being ready to pull any triggers.

Hey Scott,
I don't know who your insurance carrier is, but I just went through a bunch of hoops to get a fair settlement after an off duty cop decided to turn left in front of me without looking. One thing I learned in the process is that most major insurance agencies will actually deduct value from your car if they find out it's modded because they reckon people aren't likely to want exactly what you've done, so if you have to argue over the value only show them reciepts for maintanance and stock replacement stuff. The hardtop would be good to report, for example, but having the rollbarr or turbo might make them deem the car worth less than it otherwise would have been worth. Just trying to help you get the most value for your car.
I negotiated my settlement up to $2900, minus $600 to buy the vehicle back but my car isn't quite as nice as yours. I already fixed the damage myself for less than $500, but have yet to paint the car. Best of luck.

that's exactly why I paid the $200 to tow it back home. There's no way I want to call up my insurance and tell them to come out and adjust it. I could sell the car as is to someone for more than I'd expect to get from insurance.
My plan right now, is find another classic red for under $2K, swap parts, then call them up and ask for an adjustment. Then when they total it, I can most likely break even with a complete Rev2red 2.0.

There's a reason the diff "wings" are notched. Back when I was in my accident and my diff snapped like that, Randy Stocker sold me the housing only for like $40 shipped.
If you aren't set on red, there's a '94+ that I saw down the street from me for $3K. Hell, it might already have a Torsen in it. Body looked pretty good. I think it's Montego Blue.

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...eadExists=true
which would be perfect. After I would be finished you wouldn't know it was a new car other than the interior. body looks perfect.
